We at Boathouse Fisheries are dedicated to the welfare of our fish and providing them with the best feed possible is one of our top priorities. With this in mind we ask that all anglers welcomed on our lake use our pellet & maize and so must be purchased from us. If using your own boilie,, but we ask you use freezer boilie only.

  • Anglers to use only freezer boilies.
  • Peanuts, tiger nuts, trout pellets, shelf-life boilie, non-biodegradable baits (eg. plastic baits) and homemade baits are not allowed.
  • Maggots casters, worms, pinkie and squatts are also banned in the months from 16 March to the end of October, so will only be allowed during the winter months.
  • Waste bait is not to be disposed of in the waters. (If you wish we can take this off you to feed at a later date when it won’t interfere with other anglers session) and would be very much appreciated.
  • Spombs can be used but only if a new float is attached.

Rig Rules

Please ensure the leads can drop off in the event of crack off or lost fish, safe zone leaders fished in-line often can particularly be very unsafe, with the lead unable to pass over the loop, creating a death rig. No Zig rigs are allowed.

This can be said about lead clips, if the sleeve is on too tight the lead won’t drop off. Please bare this in mind, if the lead doesn’t drop off with a shake off the hand, a fish certainly won’t get rid of it.

No longshank hooks are to be used. If you’re unsure please ask and one of our experienced staff will advise you, we are very happy to help you.

Only micro barbed hooks are to be used.
